since 1976 we have been serving our guests from the Dunedin community and beyond.
Founders Peter and Karl began with a passion for fine dining, impeccable service, and world class cuisine served waterside.
All these years later, a love for quality service and our guest experience is as important as ever. Our menu includes longtime Bon Appetit favorites, cuisine and dishes with global inspiration, and fusion creations.
General Manager Christian Schrangl was born and raised in Austria, has over 35 years experience in the hospitality industry and oversees all operations at Bon Appetit. After he completed his studies in Restaurant and Hotel Management, Christian decided he wanted to see more of the world. He began his hospitality career aboard cruise ships, managing restaurant and hotel operations. In 2002, Christian married his wife Penny and decided to trade the high seas for a home base in Port Richey, FL. and at Bon Appetit.
Our culinary team is lead by Chef Cruz Pantoja. Chef Cruz started his food journey as a young man while working at his family's restaurant, La Picosa, in Dallas-Fort Worth, which is today operated by his sister. After moving to Florida, Chef Cruz apprenticed under well-known local chef Chris Ponte at Cafe Ponte for 3 years. After his tenure at Cafe Ponte, Chef Cruz began his career at Bon Appetit working closely with co-founder and chef Karl Riedl. Chef Cruz has been at Bon Appetit for over 15 years and now manages the entire kitchen, creates menus, and holds the Bon Appetit standards high. Chef Cruz lives in Clearwater with his wife and two children.
Nancy Williams is the Catering & Events Director at Bon Appetit. Nancy has been in the hospitality industry for more than 30 years, engaging in every aspect of food and beverage, and has been with Bon Appetit since 2002. Nancy brings experience in private social and membership golf clubs and catering. She especially enjoys working with brides and grooms to ensure that all the finer details are in place and their special day is truly one to remember. Nancy coordinates our yearly waterfront bridal showcases with local professional wedding vendors to make sure the brides receive only the best the industry has to offer. In her spare time, Nancy enjoys family genealogy, gardening, reupholstering, cooking, and baking.
